SLC Consultation has signed two strategic agreements with World Match Group (Switzerland) and WAALLI (China), paving the way for their formal involvement in major sports projects within the Kingdom.
Mr. Mohammed Al-Meshel, Chairman of SLC, stated to Al-Eqtisadiah that these agreements mark the starting point for international alliances that will bolster the presence of advanced sports technologies and modern infrastructure in the Saudi market. He emphasized that these partnerships align with the efforts to achieve the Vision 2030 objectives for the sports sector.
The agreement with the Swiss side, represented by Marc Bioli, General Manager, and Mazen Al-Haj Khalil, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, outlines cooperation across various fields including sports consultancy, development of winter sports, establishment of training centers, ticketing services, sports medicine, and academic studies, in addition to providing integrated investment solutions to support the Kingdom’s sports transformation.
Mr. Al-Mishal anticipates that sports investments in Saudi Arabia will exceed SAR 250 billion over the next six years, given the rapid expansion of vital sports-related projects. He noted that the investment volume in the next five years alone may surpass SAR 120 billion, with potential for further growth as ongoing initiatives and projects progress.
He also highlighted that World Match Group, specialized in sports technology solutions, will soon begin projects in partnership with European clubs. Meanwhile, WAALLI, renowned for building air domes and developing sports infrastructure, will undertake strategic projects aligned with major initiatives such as the “Sports Boulevard” and “Qiddiya”.
Mr. Abdulrahman Jastaniah, Deputy Minister of Sports for Strategic Planning and Investment, stressed the importance of these international partnerships in transferring knowledge, enhancing national capabilities, and enabling the sports sector to become a significant contributor to the national economy.
